My philosophy:

I believe that each child is their own person and that they learn
better in their own way and at their own pace.
Here at Bizzy as a Bee Child Care and Preschool, you can be
assured that your child will receive the best of care. I work tirelessly
to maintain a safe, happy and healthy environment for your child. We,
as a team, will work to instill in your child the values of truth, honesty
and caring for others.
My Philosophy &
The Quality of Child
Care
When considering licensed child care it is essential that you choose a
child care that fits your needs for your child as well as philosophy and
cost.

COST:

We understand that cost is important but please remember to search
for child care based on the quality of the program not because it's
cheaper then somewhere else.
Parents often make the mistake of choosing cost rather then quality.
Unfortunately this can come back to haunt you later. The last thing you
want to do is uproot your child again. Transitions are hard on a child.
Your child needs stability, and you need reliability. A well balanced
program for your child will enable you to have peace of mind while
working and will allow your child to enjoy his/her day with other children
in a high quality environment.

You can have the best of both. Cost effective, and quality. If a program
is lower in cost then most the child cares in your area then you have to
ask yourself "why". See what they have to offer compared to the
providers who are charging market rate. Providers who are offering a
higher quality program have higher cost to run their programs. If the
fees are too low a provider will not be able to keep up with the
expenses needed to run her program effectively. Check the child care
carefully and make sure the provider is equal in quality to any program
that has a high quality program.

TURN OVER:

Often these lower cost child cares have a high turn over rate. Find out
how long children usually stay in the program. It's normal for providers
to have openings.

REASONS FOR OPENINGS:

Children outgrowing the program, leaving for school, moving, parent
becomes unemployed, and etc. Talk to the parents who currently use
the child care and ask them how they feel, and even ask them how
often children come and go in the program. Get some insight from the
parents. If the child care has to many kids coming and leaving outside
the normal reasons you have to wonder "why".

LICENSED AND EXPERIENCED:

Choose a provider that is licensed. I also suggest choosing a provider
that has some experience. New providers, or providers who are doing
this for a short while so they can stay home till their children start school
often quit by the first year, or at most the first 5 years. This profession
is not for everyone. Just because they have experience being a mom
doesn't mean they are good candidates for being a quality child care
provider. After all it's a lot different caring for your own child then it is
caring for other people's children.

ENVIRONMENT:

Be sure the environment will suit your child care needs as well. Plenty of
activities. For children not yet in school it's essential that they are in a
continuous learning environment. Children need to be ready for
Kindergarten. The expectations of children entering kindergarten can be
very stressful. Be sure your child will be prepared and choose a
provider who is experienced in early childhood education.

I wish you and your family the best of luck in your search for a
wonderful provider. Please remember, she is the one whom your child
will be with for 10 hours per day. She will nurture, love, care for, feed,
change diapers, fix boo-boo's and everything in between. She is now
part of your family as you are hers.
